a. What is TWE?

We have instructors who teach a variety of different types of lessons including Tuition, Exam Coaching, College Support, Languages, Hobby Classes and more. We have instructors that teach private one-on-one lessons in-person or online.  Online group classes are also available for certain subjects.

At TWE, we make it easy for our students to pay for lessons and manage their lessons schedule online through their student account. So check out our website at www.twetor.in and find your perfect instructor today!

b. What types of lessons can be found through TWE?

TWE is an online marketplace for a variety of lesson subjects, including music, performing arts, academics and tutoring, computer skills, beauty and style, crafts and hobbies, cooking/culinary arts, health and wellness, language, sports and fitness, visual arts, and more.

c. How do I select the right teacher for me?

You’re in control. Find the right teacher for you!

At TWE, we know that every student has a unique idea about what makes a teacher qualified, so we give you lots of tools to find the teacher with the exact qualifications that you want. We encourage you to use our search filters and flip through descriptive teacher profiles, read through informative student reviews. All of these tools are available to help you find the best teacher for your needs.

d. What are online lessons?

Online lessons are a very effective and popular form of lessons.


All online lessons are connected through a live video platform, where you and the teacher have an interactive lesson.  These are not pre-recorded videos, but an actual teacher conducting the lesson in real time.  You have the ability to ask questions, get feedback, and make a great personal connection with your teacher.

e. Why are all lessons required to be paid in advance?

Our teachers take the time to build customized lesson plans for each of their students, as well as, prep for each scheduled lesson. As a result, in order to schedule lessons with your teacher and reserve their time, we require lessons to be paid in advance.


Lessons are typically purchased in advance as part of an initial lesson package and/or as part of a recurring monthly bill. In the event one of your upcoming lessons with your teacher is unpaid, we will notify you via email and ask that you log into your account to pay prior to attending that lesson.

Rest assured that even though lessons are required to be paid in advance, you are covered by our flexible refund policy that allows you to get a refund for any unused lesson credits within the first 90 days of your purchase. So there is no risk to paying for lessons in advance. If something changes, give us a call and we can issue you a refund.

f. Can I meet my instructor prior to signing up for lessons?

To ensure our teachers’ safety we do not allow in-person meetings prior to signing up for lessons, but we do offer a secure and easy way to message teachers that you are interested in working with.  Our Ask A Question feature allows you to chat with a prospective teacher to help you decide if they will be a good fit for you.

To ensure the privacy and safety of both our teachers and students, contact information (like email, phone and address) is not shared until after you’ve booked lessons.


If a teacher ever asks you to meet up before you book lessons, please let our team know right away.

g. What is your Refund Policy?

If you’re not 100% satisfied, you’ll get your money back for any unused lessons


We know taking lessons is a big step, and if you need to stop taking lessons for any reason, we will refund any future unused lesson credits within 90 days from the date of purchase (if you did not take any lessons), or from the last lesson taken.

Simply contact TWE at least 24 hours before your next lesson to receive a refund on any remaining future lesson credits. Lessons scheduled to occur in less than 24 hours are not eligible for refund, so please contact us before then to ensure your refund includes all the lessons you are expecting.

h. What can I expect when I book my lessons?

Once you’ve booked your lessons, please check your email inbox for a Welcome message from TWE, which will include a link to set up your online student account.  Your teacher will be notified and will be in contact with you within 48 hours. Please be sure to finish this last step of your profile setup ASAP.

Once you’ve finished setting up your account, you are welcome to reach out to your teacher directly, and together you and your teacher can confirm your first lesson time, and discuss directions to your lesson location if needed. We also encourage you to discuss your goals and any other questions you have at this time.

Your teacher will customize your lesson plan based on what you want to learn, so don’t be afraid to speak up. And of course, if you ever need to adjust your schedule or bill, you can make those changes through your online student account.

i. Do you offer a free trial lesson?

We don’t offer trial lessons, but if you’re not totally satisfied, you’ll get your money back

We know taking lessons is a big step and we want you to have an awesome time learning! We’re so confident that you’ll love your lessons that we offer all customers a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. That means, if you’re not satisfied with your lessons, we’ll help you find a new teacher or refund any future unused lesson credits, no questions asked.

If you’re struggling to stay motivated or it’s not working out with your teacher, we’re here to help you through it. Our Student Counselors are available Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM IST to help you find a new teacher (if needed) or refund any remaining lesson credits you may no longer want to use.

j. Are there any age restrictions for taking lessons?

It’s never too early or too late for lessons

When it comes to finding the perfect teacher, you’ll want to select someone who teaches the age group you’re looking for. Teachers list their age preferences directly on their profiles and their preferences are entirely up to them. Some teachers prefer to teach adults only, while others work with both children and adults.  Most teachers accept children as young as 5 years old, but it often depends on the subject.  If you have a question about the age restriction for a specific teacher we encourage you to send the teacher a message by clicking on the blue button at the top of their profile.

k. What if I change my mind after signing up for lessons?

Students can easily switch instruments or teachers at any point. If you change your mind and do not wish to participate in lessons we offer the option to donate any unused lesson credits to a TWE noteworthy student. Noteworthy students are nominated by TWE teachers. In addition, you are covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you do not wish to continue you can receive a refund for any future unused lesson credits within 90 days of your purchase. Simply submit a request through the Help tab in your Student Account and we’ll be happy to assist you.


a. What is the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?

We’ll refund your lessons if you’re not 100% satisfied

If you are not completely satisfied, we’ll help you find a new teacher or you can receive a refund for any future unused lessons within 90 days from the date of purchase. Simply contact us at least 24 hours before your next lesson to cancel your lessons and receive a refund.

b. What is your lesson cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, provide at least 24 hours notice

At TWE, we encourage students and teachers to work out lesson schedules that work great for everyone.  We only have one rule: your teacher needs 24 hours notice if you want to make any changes to your schedule.

Please give your teacher at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a single lesson. Forgetting to do so may result in the lesson being marked as missed when your teacher marks attendance.  Missed lessons cannot be rescheduled, which means payments for missed lessons are not reusable, refundable, or transferable. We also encourage you to chat with your teacher if you need to take a longer period of absence from lessons. You can cancel and reschedule lessons through your TWE account anytime up to 24 hours before your lesson.

If you need to cancel your subscription, please let your teacher know as well as contact TWE directly at least 24 hours before your next lesson to ensure any refund includes all the lessons you’re expecting. Lessons that are less than 24 hours away are non-refundable.

c. What are your Student Guidelines?

At TWEs, we encourage both teachers and students follow certain guidelines. These guidelines supplement our Terms of Use and are conditional to the use of our Website and Service(s).

As a Student, you will be required to:

  • Pay for lessons in advance and manage billing & account status via TWE account
  • Understand and comply with our refund policy
  • Manage all schedule details directly with your Instructor
  • Understand and comply with the rescheduling rules set by your teacher and/or our rescheduling guidelines
  • Work directly with TWE to change Instructors

d. What if a teacher asks me to pay outside of the TWE website?

Please let us know; this should never happen


TWE handles the billing and payments for all lessons through our secure website.  As part of our service, our students are protected by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and our teachers are automatically paid for lessons taught.

If a teacher asks you to pay for lessons via cash, check, or another website, please decline and let us know by emailing info@twetor.in. We’ll be happy to follow up with your teacher to resolve the confusion and/or connect you with a new teacher through TWE.  Teachers who ask students to pay for their lessons outside of the TWE website are subject to be removed from our platform.


a. What lesson schedule options are available?

TWE offers two great lesson schedules

Our most popular lesson schedule is our Recurring Schedule, which allows a student to have a recurring lesson on a set day and time. This schedule type guarantees your time slot is reserved with your teacher until you decide to change or cancel your lessons.  Popular schedules include weekly lessons or every other week lessons.

We also offer a Schedule As You Go lesson plan, which allows lessons to be individually scheduled for different days and times. This is great for students with an inconsistent work schedule, or who want to go at a slower pace.

b. How soon can I start lessons?

To give your instructor enough time to prepare, first lessons are typically scheduled 3 – 7 days out from the time of booking.  If you have an urgent schedule that requires you to start lessons sooner, you can either send a message to the teacher prior to booking to see if they can accommodate you, or give us a call at 7760758039 option #1 and we will see if the teacher can make a special exception for you.

c. What happens to my lesson credit if my teacher is unavailable for my lesson?

Teachers are able to cancel lessons on your schedule if something comes up and they are unable to teach your lesson due to sickness, vacation, etc. In the event that your teacher is unavailable to teach your lesson, your teacher will cancel the lesson and you will receive a notification indicating that your lesson has been canceled.

Lesson credits for any canceled (paid) lessons are automatically shifted forward on the calendar to cover your next available unpaid lesson date. Under no circumstances should you ever forfeit a lesson credit if your teacher is unavailable.

d. What is a lesson credit?

A lesson credit refers to the total cost of an individual lesson on your calendar. Lesson credits vary based on your teacher’s prices for lessons, the length of lessons, and lesson location.  Your lesson credits are specifically configured to match the details of your lesson schedule.


If you end up changing teachers, we will transfer any unused credits to your new schedule in the form of an Account Balance which can then we used to purchase new lessons with your new teacher. Keep in mind, since each teacher prices their lessons differently, your Account Balance may cover a different number of lesson credits with your new teacher.

e. Can I take lessons with more than one teacher?

Yes, students are able to take lessons with as many teachers as they’d like in a variety of subjects.

If you are an existing student you can sign up for a new schedule via your online student account. Simply log into your Student account, the go to www.twetor.in to find your new teacher. Sign up for lessons directly from the teacher’s profile, or give us a call and we’d be happy to assist (7760758039).

f. What forms of payment does TWE accept?

a. When should I consider upgrading my lessons to a longer lesson duration?

A good time to extend the length of a lesson for a beginner is after about 30-60 days, but this depends on your progress and consistency. Your teacher is an excellent resource to help determine if extending your lesson length will be beneficial for you.

b. What should I prepare for my first lesson?

First things first, get excited!

Most of our teachers call new students on the phone before lessons start, but just in case your teacher is super busy, check out this list of things you’ll want to prepare for your first lesson. If your teacher has given you any special instructions before your first lesson, we encourage you to follow through with those tips

c. Do I need to have my own instrument to take music lessons?Toggle title

Yes. Our instructors do not provide the instruments. If you have any trouble getting your instrument by the date of your first lesson, speak with your instructor directly and he or she will work with you to determine how to proceed. Your teacher can also give you good recommendations for local music stores to purchase or rent instruments.


a. What is the Noteworthy Student Program and how can I donate?

What is the Noteworthy Student Program?

 As a way to pay it forward, we have a Student In Need Program. We allow students to donate a portion or all of their unused credits to help a student in need. Students experience a range of setbacks, including various disabilities, terminal illnesses, or financial hardships.

 How can I donate funds or lessons to this program?

 Any donation amount helps these students continue with their lessons. If you would like to donate lessons, please email our Support Team at info@twetor.in. Let us know how many lessons you would like to donate or if you would like to donate just a set dollar value. We can deduct the funds from your current paid credits.

b. What are your business hours?

Our Customer Support team is available to handle your requests Monday through Friday from 9AM-6PM IST.  For all scheduling concerns, please reach out to your teacher directly.

c. How do I contact TWE?

Simply submit a request to our Support team through the Help tab in your TWE account, or send us an email at info@twetor.in. Our Support Team will respond to your inquiry within 3 business days. If it is urgent, call us at 7760758039. We are open Monday through Friday 9AM-6PM PST.

d. Which browsers does TWE work best on?

The TWE website, student accounts, and teacher accounts work best on the latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox

If you are having trouble logging in or using your account, make sure you are using the latest version of one of the browsers listed above.  If you are not using one of these supported browsers, some of your account features may not display or work as intended.

Our company is headquartered in MG Road, Bangalore, however, we work with teachers and students throughout the country. We are a nationwide company connecting teachers and students for in-person lessons all across the country, including live online lessons with TWE Classroom!
